An easy recipe, which the crowds love, just ask my co-workers

Today was the holiday party at work. Work supplies the salad and main course, and those who want to bring desserts, bring desserts.

I brought a carload of goodies.

The best seller of the day: Oreo Balls

8 oz. softened cream cheese (I did use the low fat kind, if that helps you)
1 package of oreo’s (I think they were 16 oz), crushed. Crush the entire cookie, don’t remove the filling
2 cups semi sweet or milk chocolate chips
1 T shortening (I use Crisco)

Mix cream cheese with electric mixer until fluffy. Add the crushed Oreos and beat on high until well mixed. Chill for at least 2 hours in the freezer. Then roll Oreo cookie mix into one inch Oreo Balls.
Next, melt the chocolate chips and shortening with a double boiler or in the microwave.
Dip the Oreo balls completely into the melted chocolate using tongs or a toothpick.
Put on wax paper. After the Oreo balls harden, keep them in the refrigerator.

Makes about 3 or 4 dozen Oreo Balls, depending on the size

Perplexus

Sooo, apparantly I am soooo very trendy. We have gotten this toy for three of Mark's friends.

And he wanted it. . . . so last night he opened it for Chanukah.

My friend just told me it was on Good Morning America today. . . . as a great toy. Annabelle from the Green Planet in Newton Highlands recommended it, and now I know that she is brilliant. This was back in June!

Naomi got a Pinkalicious Dolly, and she is happy as a clam!
