Lemon Scones - The history

Back when Adam and I were dating, we would often visit Panini's bakery and sip coffee (Adam) or tea (me) over delicious lemon scones and biscotti.  The Boston Globe one Wednesday published the lemon scone recipe in the food section.  I was thrilled.

Panini's was a place that felt like home.  When we moved to Peabody we still went there once a month.  And then we moved to Newton, bought a house and visited less frequently.  Then we had a kid and we visited once in a blue moon.

Then we had another kid.  And our visits were less often, but still full of delicious food.

At some point, it switched owners and Panini's became The Biscuit with the same amazing lemon scones.

We took the kids and often didn't stay as long as we had in the past, but still the lemon scones were amazing.

The Biscuit closed for good in late December, 2019, and here is an article.  I encourage you to donate to their campaign, so they can re-open a wonderful small business in the same neighborhood.
